The Negroni Commission is the first Build2Sample commission, which can be spotted on the open road in 2024. Painted in the beautiful and rare original 356 Polyantha Red, this bespoke 911 follows a clear theme – the owner’s love affair with the classic cocktail, which gave it its name and set the theme for designating all future projects.

Based in Zurich, the owner of this commission enjoys the lifestyle of going on proper alpine road drives followed by long summer nights at the city’s lake – often accompanied by a perfectly crafted Negroni. The vision of this commission lies within the idea of personifying this feeling within a bespoke 911.

A classic Negroni consists of gin, Campari, vermouth, and an orange peel. Paying close attention to the chosen materials will reveal that we consciously followed the colors of these ingredients to incarnate the drink within the car.

Looks aren’t everything, so let’s talk about the thoughtfully composed engineering that went into the Negroni Commission. The lifestyle surrounding the Negroni is certainly not about winning hill climbs or participating in track days. However, underneath the classy and elegant looks lies a dynamic concept, which significantly improves drivability and performance.

Polyurethane bushings and the overall reduced weight due to the Kevlar-Carbon body panels enhance the original character of this 911 by reducing body roll enormously. The ST-inspired rear arches provide enough clearance for a set of 9x15 Fuchs wheels, which allow for increased corner speed. In the rear beats the Negroni’s original and matching 3.0L engine. Minor changes in the internals bring up the torque of the car, a SSI exhaust system provides understated but yet serious sound, all by still staying within the tight traffic regulations of the Swiss.

The Negroni Commission is a dream come true – and it can do it all. Bring the kids to school in the morning, hit some Swiss alpine roads for noon and end the day by elegantly rolling in front of a restaurant in the evening.
